Supplying persons served with help, support and assistance is valuable work. That said, as much as possible, we should be channelling people through our services so that they become part of community life to the greatest extent possible. This means having meaningful employment, friends, places where they experience belonging, activities, and the opportunity to pursue a life of meaning outside of programs and services. How do we get better at being brokers and facilitators of this?
